Open-Source Projects

Through the shared experience of enthusiastic communities, open-source projects bring innovation to the IT world and our lifestyles. We support open-source development and offer both individuals and companies free licenses for all our products for use in their open-source projects.

To apply for a free license, your open-source project must:

  • Fall within the definition of an open-source project
  • Have a dedicated web site and active development community
  • Be in development for more than 3 months
  • Be regularly updated and released at least once in 2 months

If all the above prerequisites are met, you are eligible to apply. Please e-mail us at sales@teamdev.com and provide the following details in your message:

  • Full name of the open-source project
  • URL to the dedicated web site
  • URL to the community forums
  • Evidence of your personal participation in the project development (news, articles, site content)
  • Names of the TeamDev products you would like to use in your project.

Important: The following acknowledgement must be added (if applicable) to end-user documentation (manuals, readme files), software (in the “About” dialog box), and on the web site of your open-source project: “This product includes software developed by TeamDev (www.teamdev.com)”. Alternatively, this acknowledgement may appear wherever such third-party acknowledgments normally appear.

Here’s a list of open-source projects that are already using TeamDev products (and it’s growing):

  • SimpleCenter—An open-source alternative for acquiring, organizing, experiencing, distributing, and sharing your music, photos, movies, podcasts, and more.
  • Columba—A Java-based e-mail client featuring e-mail management with wizards and internationalization support.
  • Watij—A Web application that automates functional testing of web applications through a real browser.

Take advantage of this offer for your own project!
